--34 LINES--

"I love it, it's beautiful, let's get it please!"

Says my wife, then continues to plea--

"Ten rooms, big deck, large yard, can't believe what I see!"

Beautiful...It was indeed.

This was ten days or so ago,

Todays the big day, we expect ninety people to show.

Children, parents, from far and close,

Love and laughs--we shall enjoy.

Larry of course is on the grill, while Papa's still in Vietnam,

All the adults continue to laugh, while children continually run through my arms.

"Go play!", I say, "Split into two sides,

"Ten rooms in the house, half of you go hide!"

Time moves on and continues to pass,

As silence in the wind brushes over the grass.

"It's too quiet", I say, "I swore I sent children to play,

Search we must, as silent children shall be the day!"

In and out, up and around,

We search the rooms, no children to be found.

Then a noise sounds from up above,

Oh clumsy children, how I do love!

So up we go, ninety people to the attic,

What we find there creates havoc.

I say, "I dont remember this room from the tour,

Then again we only spent five minutes on this floor!"

I search and cannot find a key to the door,

"Break it down!", the children say in a roar.

In my football stance I get down--

To BUST through the door and find what was to be found.

How majestic, beautiful, maintained, and old,

Paintings, mirrors, books, and gold!

I gather the children, for it is what they have found,

I say, "Thank you! Because of you my attic shall be renown!"

New house, my loved ones, this day has been fantastic,

Of course it makes it easy with buried treasure in your attic!

I look to my wife with tears to repeat,

"I love it, it's beautiful, let's get it please!"
