Is he really here.. or is this another dream?
I feel your warm breath on my own, sending my heart endlessly racing to yours.
Your hands, rough yet gentle, touch my cold face, sending shivers down my spine.
Your arms, strong and scarred warp themselves around my petite, frail body, giving me a feeling of safeness i haven't felt in years.
I feel your gaze on me, pouring into my soul, but I can't see you, for I'm afraid that I'll open my eyes, and you'll be gone.
I've been waiting for so long, for Longer than forever, and yet you are here.
-"Open your eyes"
I hear your voice, deep, hoarse and bewitching echoing through my ears to my mind and heart. It is remedy to my ears, a soothing balm for my shattered heart.
I shake my head slowly as unwanted tears threaten to spill over my closed eyelids.
-"If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up " a lone tear slides down my pale, blood drained face. I feel your strong hand gently caressing my tearstained, slender features; softly following my facial lines and carefully memorizing them as if I were a map.
"Not yet" I conclude with a whisper. I can’t help but gyrate in wretchedness and unease at the thought of having my lover silently vanishing into the dark hours, insanely searching for revenge, freedom and peace for his wild, unconfined scarlet heart.
I hear you chuckle softly, and I can tell you're smiling.
You lean down and capture my shaky lips with your luscious ones in a passionate, yet gentle, soft and breathtaking kiss, claiming them as your own.
We break apart to welcome oxygen into our lungs, and I feel your forehead lightly grazing my own, sending shivers down my spine.
My body feels wonderfully numb, and my swollen scarlet lips crave the wonderful warmth of your mouth once again.
-"Does it feel like you're dreaming?" you softly ask, caressing my cheek, and kissing away my tears.
-"No, it doesn't." I answer truthfully, feeling my heart race and my head spin with love. "will you still be here if I open my eyes?"
-"I'm here love" you mumble to me, softly nibbling on my earlobe, sending pleasurable waves coursing through my body. "now, let me see your beautiful eyes. I won't go anywhere, I promise"
I Slowly uncover my teal orbs, and I see your handsome face, blue in the silvery moonlight.
I make out your perfect onyx gaze, watching me intensely , and your thin, ambrosial rosy lips twisted into a small smile. Your sharp features are accentuated by the radiance of the night, giving you a dark, mysterious and hypnotizing aura.
Slowly I manage to find my voice, and gradually my eyes become glossy once again.
-"you're here" I whisper, my voice shaky as unshed tears flow down my face. "you're really here"
Cupping your cold cheeks, I slowly brush your lips with my thumb, and smile sadly.
- "I've missed you so much" i mumble, burning into my memory the warm, soft feel of your beautiful, slender mouth against my cold, shaky fingers. I search your obsidian, mysterious gaze for any signs of deception, only to find it pouring warmth and pure love into my beryl, watery eyes.
You tenderly, lovingly wipe my tears away with your pale fingers, melting me into your hands, and then dive for my lips, kissing me softly and gently, soothing my weak, uneasy heart.
-"I'm here, and I won't leave you ever again" you mumble, pecking my mouth, smiling all the same.
-"Do you promise?" I ask, leaning my head against your secure chest, feeling the steady rhythm of your stable, slow breath against my forehead. I feel my auburn hair, long, velvety and unswerving slowly cascading down my back, covering and sheltering me from the night. I see you smile softly, and gently place a lose, bronze strand of my mane behind my ear, so you can fully see my pale, thin face.
-"I do" You slide under the covers and pull my frail body to your strong, scarred one, and tuck me in, wrapping your arms around me protectively.
I lean my head on your chest, and listen to your steady heartbeat, as I slowly slip into unconsciousness, safe and secure within your embrace.
