The comfort of death
Oh, Lord I pray for the sick and poor
Their bones are weary and muscles sore

And Lord about the children who had no food today
Still Lord for them I can only pray

Why Lord must people be so mean and bad
To me Lord I can only cry it's all so sad

Now days Lord people think your about to do them harm
Steal their money or take their farm

Lord I was hungry and asked for food today
And a man replied get bum go away

This grieves my heart Lord very so
For now I must spend my time in a cold snow

My clothes are tattered and torn now
To say I'd live, I just don't know how

Then a man gave me a cup of coffee to take away the chill
His love for mankind was greater than that I could feel

He was a nice man Lord to say the least
With the compassion like that of a priest

He spoke of his master so kind and good
And how he tried to be like him every way he could

He then began to tell of a place of no suffering and pain
Then I asked, "Could I go", then it began to snow

Then as if my body began to float towards the clouds
He wrapped my soul in a snow white shroud

An now Lord that I'm with you and all the rest
I thank you Lord, I've been truly blessed
            AMEN
