This poem is based on a true story about when my friend was in the hospital. |
Her sparkling eyes, Are shining bright, As they look, Into the room of white. Then suddenly, Faster than light, I realize that something, Is not right. For her blue eyes, Are turning grey, And they show, A look of dismay. We step inside, The big grey door, Everything is covered with cards, That is, except the floor. And in the center of the room, There lies a bed, The girl in it, Almost looks dead. What I see, I was not ready for. The girl in the bed is fragile and weak, There are gray circles under her eyes, I cannot believe it, I hope it's just lies. The girl I once knew, Was so much alive, But now she is here, In a hospital bed. She's full of pain, misery, and despair, But I guess we all, Must get our share. Very soon I feel a tear, It goes down below my ear, I wipe it away. Then at that moment, The girl wakes up, She opens her eyes, And I see pain. The next thing I know, The room is dead quiet, And so is she.... For at that moment, Her heart no longer beats, Her blood no longer flows, Her lungs no longer breathe She....Is......Dead |
