All Those Little Things...

Hey God.

It's me. But I'm sure You knew that. And I'm sure You know why I'm talking to You.

So, for starters, I want to apologize for not believing in You. It's not my fault. Really, it isn't. If I could, I would. I guess I'm only doing this right now because he really believes in You...or, he did. I think it would mean a lot to him if he knew that I was doing this right now, which, of course, means that he can NEVER know about this little talk. OK? OK.

Ummm...Can you give him a chance in court tomorrow? He didn't actually do anything wrong, and he's clearly really ashamed about the whole thing. Let him get away with the least possibly sentence. Anything more would ruin his spirit.

Please Lord, grant him the ability to forgive himself for all his imperfections. He takes all his past issues and throws them around whenever anyone says anything nice about him. He's not the horrible person he thinks he is. Please, let him see that.

Let him achieve his full potential. He's a really bright guy, with a really bright future, but he's never going to get there without a nudge forward. I'm only a single person, I can only do so much. You're the Almighty One, You probably have more influence on people's lives that I do anyway. Allow him to go wherever he wants to go.

Please, get people to think less harshly about him. They think they've got him all figured out before they even meet him. I'll confess: I was one of those people, too. Obviously, I know otherwise now, but not everyone is able to get past their initial prejudice like that. Give him that second chance that he so desperately needs.

And, finally, God, get him to ask me out already.
