Night Time

I needed to write something for Spanish and I just kept going.

Night Time
When I was a little girl, Night time was my favorite time
Looking out my window and there was the moon
Out in the country it is always dark in the night
Than there`s the moon, shining bright for me

In the night time is when Daddy came home
Even when I was supposed to be sleeping
I would wait up for him, just to say goodnight
Sometimes we would stay up and talk

In the summer, the night time was the best
Camp outs in the backyard were my favorite
We would have big bonfires, and sit in camping chairs
In the country you can always here crickets chirping

Night time is supposed to be a scary time, but it isn`t
Sometimes the coyotes would howl, but I wasn`t scared
At times it seemed like they were singing a lullaby
Night time sounds always put me to sleep the best

I am older now and look at things in different ways
But the night time will always be the same
I still look out my window and see the moon shining
And Daddy still tells me goodnight
