A poem of the Love Hate Variety that depicts a girl as a glass window of happiness.
Broken Glass

You’re like a broken glass window,

I can not fix you, no matter how hard I try.

Your broken shards cut through my skin,

Leaving me wounded and bleeding deep within.

My blood spills out leaving my mark,

My best efforts to fix you with only the love in my heart.

I can not pick up they pieces or put them back in their place,

This has gone on too long,

I can’t take this anymore.

I used to be able to see through you

I could see the good and the happiness inside you,

Joy seemed to radiate though you like a clean windowpane.

The happiness has gone,

The good has died,

You have broken yourself and all that you seek is repair.

I have tried and tried,

But I can not fix you, I am sorry to say it but I have pity for you.

You have turned foggy.

The good and the happiness will never show through,

You are someone else now,

Its too bad you blame me and for that,

I hate the new you!

I have shed my tears in vain

You simply will change and that is a shame.

I guess I will find someone else,

Who will return my love and won’t go changing on me.

It may be hard to do,

But once I do,

I believe that I can forget you.
