I am a broom closeted kitchen witch, shut out by society and my family because I believe differently. Okay, so I chose this path, I chose to keep it a secret, and I chose to practice solitarily. I'm happy about it, but I still wish my narrow minded husband would understand. I've tried being a Christian, I've been to church, it just doesn't do anything for me. I feel completely lost. So why should I even bother with it? I'm much happier worshipping Freyja (Norse Goddess of love), divining with my tarot cards, and hosting rituals in my kitchen as I cook dinner for my family.
In order to keep my "spiritual side" a secret I have a big, black steamer trunk with a false bottom, I keep my things in there and when I'm alone I use the top as my altar. Most everything I use has a nonmagickal purpose as well as a magickal one, so this isn't hard to explain away.
This is a work in progress, I'll add more later. )O(
