i wandered in a forest, (i will not say i was lost)
the moonlight lit my way,
but i stumbled upon the rocks,
the rocks grew sparse,
moss now underfoot,
i came upon a clearing,
many nymphs and fawns had gathered,
the fawns had pan flutes hung about their necks,
the nymphs were clothed only in moonbeams,
i stood for sometime watching as they ran and laughed,
a single nymph took notice of me,
she pulled me into the open,
the fawns sat down and began to play a tune,
the nymph gathered in a circle,
(around me!)
they looked to the moon,
all at once they looked at me,
(my heart skipped a beat)
they began to dance....
i wandered in a forest,
(i will not say i was lost)
the moonlight lit my way....
in the forst of the night,
when i came upon the nymphs,
i became their constant watcher,
never again will i see the light of day....
the moonlight is all the light i have,
the sight of the nymphs and their dance,
cost me my freedom....
i live forever in the forest of the night...............
