A quick poem about summer's goodbye.
The sun's rays beat down on my skin,
The cool grass under and around me moves with the breeze.
Birds and crickets chirp,
Squirrels and chipmunks chatter.
The smell of fresh cut grass enters my senses when I breath deeply.
I feel a cool spot on my skin where the sun once was.
I look up and the sun's setting.
"Good-bye, my friend," I whiper delicatley.
"I shall see you tomorrow."
And as the sun barely peeks over the hill,
It gives me one last wink.
