Episode 2: Smile Like a Pleague (Part II)
After the long mixed up day of school, John and Brice go home to Johns house
Its the night of the break. 9:15 Pm.

I've been chillin with John next to the fire place. It was warm.
John stared deep into the fire. "John. I'm sorry about Erin." I told him. I really was. It sucks for him. He didnt break his stare from the fire, and stayed silent. "You know," I tried to cheer him up, "things fall apart-" his eyes lowered. "only to fall back together into something better."

He made me smile deep inside. And I showed it with a great smile. "Thanks Brice."
"Now." He jumped up to his feet, ready for action it seemed. "Lets go somewhere." I jumped up with him and agreed without words. "Bye mom!" I yelled and we sped out of the door.

We found ourselves outside in a dark sky and falling snow. I love it:).
"Dude, lets go to the gas station, I have a few bucks on me." Brice said. "Sweet, I'm so hungry." I told him as we kept along walking and talking down the street. After an hour, We came to a turn and the gas station was visible. The sky grew much darker and snow began to fall much more rapidly, along with needling rain. "Damn, man. Its getting heavy out here." He had to raise his voice to speak to me over the sound of pounding rain. We put up our hoods and continued even slower than before to the gas station. And even when we came close to it. It seemed like the lights were off. They were! A click split through my ears and entire neighborhood's lights went out, fallowed by a great clackling of thunder. The snow became hail. My face became numb. We were in North Dakota at December.
Brice began to freak out as much as I was. "Lets go back!" He cried. "But the gas station is just up ahead." I suggested. We were breathing heavy and eyes squinted. "Okay." He withstood. And we braced ourselves as we continued on.
We've arrived. No cars, no people, no lights. We pulled on the door. It was locked. Thats not going to stop me. "Lets just break the window, we can blaim it on the hail" Brice said and when he said 'hail' i glanced down at the hail. they were the size of golf balls! The sirens ran off and hail pounded to our backs and shattered the window.
Immediately a loud siren inside the gas station went off flashing a red light constantly. We jumped through the shattered window and found the noise to become even louder. "Turn off that noise!" A gruffy voice yelled. I gasped and pulled Brice down and behind the counter, the light and sound still going off. We stared into a hazy window and waited. heavy foot steps echoed the tiles on the cold floor. The footsteps stopped, and we were blinded from everything that was happening behind the counter. A loud smash fallowed by the fall of thousands of glass chrystals collided to the floor, as the light and sound stopped. "Whats going on out there!?" A distance voice called. The window in front of us shattered and hail began to pumble in on us! "Shit!" Brice said underneith his breath. We skidded to the side And slid behind the next window.
Everything began to rumble even more. "Theres a blizzard warning out there, dammit! everyone get into the cellar!" That same distance voice called again. Brice and I turned to eachother, its either them or we're facing a blizzard." He told me. My heart was beating so loudly i had to listen well to him. We both stood up and raced towards the distance noise. We busted through a door to see the cellar door shut and locked. "No!" I slammed into the cellar door and smashed on it, "Help us!" But not even a sound came through to them. It was pitch black where they were. Brice fell to a sit. I hurried out to the other room and looked outside. Very dark and most of the windows were smashed, letting in even more snow in. I began to shiver. I can't beleive this is happening. I came to sit next to brice. "Theres no way that this is actually happening." I said.
He didnt say anything for a while. and then, "Are we going to die?" He looked at me. His lips were blue and his hair was frosted, and he was shaking rapidly with a sad look on his face. The blizzard has only begun, and I didn't want to lie to him. "I don't know." I said. He looked down at his feet. I couldn't move my toes or my fingers, its like they just froze there gripping onto me. "The world has so much to offer." I said. "And we've taken it for granted. And Now.." I breathed out a breath of solid white air. If I never take advantage of this world, maybe this wouldn't have happened to me. "If only I could start over." I said outloud. I looked over to Brice. His eyes were closed, his body pale, and no breath left his body. "Brice.." I began to sob and cry, and i couldn't think! I wept over him "I dont care anymore!" I yelled out. "Take me to!" I cried and fell into him and couldn't stop crying. I want to change everything.

.......................

A light struck so quickly it almost missed me. All the disasters began to stop, and it was almost as I was weightless. I began to lift into the air and my eyes weighed down on me. And I fell to sleep.
