A Lot More




We've all heard that saying
about learning about someone by-
taking the shoes off their feet.
But my shoes are worn and
too big for your feet
so I guess that you won't know

But there's a lot more to learn (a lot more to learn)
about me,
and since you can't take my shoes
I guess that you can't learn
but if you did you would see
the tears,
the fears,
the lies,
and those not so kept
'promises'


no we've also heard that
phrase about
books and the covers they wear
I guess if I wear a book I'd
probably be a cult classic and
not some top 100 book shit
and my cover would be hard and thick,
and probably dark
but when you sit down and
look past my 'cover'
you'll still get a confusing and
extremely odd book
but you know you love it

But there's a lot to learn (a lot to learn)
and since the libraries wont stock it
I guess reading it is out of the question
but if you ever bought it
you would see the
dorky habits, my not so innocent oddity
some things that make me swoon,
but more of the things that make me laugh

and now that I'm using my
'pen as a sword'
because the way to my heart because the
is through my lyrics
but more than my heart,
music is the key to the soul
