Unreciprocated Love

I once loved a man more than life itself
Someone I bared my soul to
Unfortunately this love was never recipricated
How I wished it was
But love is not always equal
It is not always balanced
Sometimes it is though you are selfless
You breathe out air to intoxicate him with life,
While he selfishly keeps it all in to himself not worrying if there is anymore left for you
And you give your all to him as he takes you for granted
His love is not recessive to yours
He takes and he takes
And you give and you give
As you suffocate yourself in love, you then decide that you are worth more
You deserve better
You deserve life
You are a strong woman and you finally know that no man is worth your soul
