“No one can make you inferior without your consent”.
People from different walks of life might have slotted one of you as sickening, disgust-inspiring, and nauseatic. And as a consequence you might have drawn a cocoon for yourself till whisked out of it by your well wisher which usually are quite rare. But there lies an oasis for all of you inferiority-laden, heftily censured men and women out there, which will sure compel you to reason out your weakness. There’s an adage that I have absorbed into my veins and which works as a crutch for my soul.
“No one can make you inferior without your consent”.
Although it is hard to ignore or chase away bitter comments, jibes and ascorbic rebukes no matter how consoling the maxim is but it sure lends you an answer to what makes one inferior? When I bumped into this quotation I was in ecstasies as if I have unearthed El Dorado and why not inferiority complex is a devastating and a crippling weak spot of some of us and a solution to evade it, sure is highly welcomed and in demand. I have availed this wise saying every so often to justify the justness of my being inferior. It prompted me to introspect …
1.          Should I be inferior because I am labeled as such by others?
2.          Should I be inferior because I literally have no expertise to match my rivals/ competitors?
3.          Should I be inferior because my plate has plenty of gaffes, failures but nothing that can inspire accolades for my family?
4.          Should I be inferior because I am financially embarrassed than my peers?
5.          Should I be inferior because of a vivid defect on my body or my countenance isn’t appealing?
6.          Should I be inferior because I belong to a minority group?
7.          Should I be inferior because I kowtow my bosses?
8.          Should I be inferior because my dresses are a real passion killer?
9.          Should I be inferior because I am a sworn taciturn or a solitude-loving person?
These nagging nine questions; only recently the nine blunders of my life; have found a quiet burial since my acquaintance with that saying.
And how deftly I wiped them out; I shall endeavor to dish out the details in the next installment. Till then…muse.
