Chapter Eight: Rebel Forces Of Ryouku Forest “Life is pain, Death is peace, but people rather live in pain instead of loneliness.”
The woman looks like a normal woman with tamed red hair made into a ponytail and a cheerful smile. She wears a armor of large spikes, like the fabled Ancient Armor that was told in Elona during my visit there. “Lisa, it is good to see you well. What happened here?” Classic greeted and asked. I saw the black wolf entering the camp and transform before my eyes, it changes into a human. “There was a dispute between the clan, which does not cause the civil war. The conflict started when I was told that I had to make that savage leader be my mate, I had disagreed.” Lisa explained. “You mean Darkfang of the Vampfur Tribe?” Classic asked. Lisa nodded and an elegant woman approach from behind Lisa then stands beside her. The woman looks like a Tyrian Elementalist in what I thought was the expensive version of the Aeromancer’s Armor. Her eyes and hair can reflect the sky and clouds like its part of it, sight of marvelous elegance. “I see you know the person. Am I right, Lisa?” The woman asked. “Yes! This person is Classic, he is one of our friends, Sky.” Lisa answered like she is glad to she the woman. The woman looks at Classic with a gentle smile. “Hi Classic, I’m Sky Sakura, Aeromancer From Ascalon.” Sky introduced. “Please to meet you, Sky. I’m Classic Rogue, Dwarf With A Weird Past” Classic introduced. Sky and Lisa giggled, followed by me and the others. After the greetings, Lisa gave me a curious look, she was wondering who am I and where did I came from. I felt uncomfortable about Lisa’s curious look. A man appears from a vortex of leaves and fire, he looks a young man with pale hair and good physical fitness. I noticed that his right eye was scarred and covered with a band of cloth. The cloth looks like his eye was wounded when it was worn, stained in blood. Did he lose his eye like Feldrick did? Must be when he was fighting one of the Ryouku Werewolves. “Hey, Dad.” Lisa greets the man. “Hello, Viktor.” Classic greeted. “Hey, Lisa. Hey, Classic.” Viktor greeted then turn his attention to me. “Who is the girl, Classic? Your daughter?” Viktor asked. “No, she is not our daughter. I found her attacked by Nagi Thrashers.” Classic answered. “So you picked her out of Nage Territory, I see.” Viktor replied. “Viktor, what is the situation of this civil war?” Jenna asked. “Well, Darkfang is now attacking any travelers who crosses this forest, claiming that they are with the rebels. He also believed that Lisa was captured instead of joining the rebels.” Viktor answered. “I thought I made it clear to Darkfang! Lisa does not love him!” A voice sounded from above. I look up and see a man dropping from a tree. The man is probably close to Lisa’s age, blonde hair and looks highly skilled as an assassin. “Hi, Sacred!” Lisa greets with great excitement. “Hey, Lisa.” Sacred answered. Sounds like Darkfang was obsessed with Lisa. “We got company! Same like last time!” Another guy shouted. “Thanks, Azriel. Those who cannot fight will be with Cree, she will lead them to somewhere safe.” Sacred responded. “You had to come with Lisa, you are too inexperienced to fight them.” Classic told me. I followed Lisa to the center of the camp, there I see many rebel werewolves running to help while few helps a woman escort the others into a large tree. “Come on! Get in there or you ended up fighting!” The woman beckons. We enter the tree while the others are holding the wall. “If they can throw fireballs, why are we in a tree?!” I asked. “This tree is called Shadow Tree. Created for hiding and protection.” Lisa answered. Five minutes had past and the fight still goes on. Suddenly, a Ryouku Werewolf burst through the entrance and looks around. It saw Lisa and charges for her. I step in its path and held my staff outward. I hit it! I watch as it covering its face in great pain. It gets up and moves his paw, revealing that half of its face was frozen like an ice statue. It leaps at me with death in its eyes. I whacked it with my staff and its left freezes into an ice statue like its face did. The werewolf breathes heavily then goes limp. I killed it by freezing its lungs with my staff. “I... I killed it. Yeah! I killed it!” I said in great excitement. My first kill! A man bursts in looking for the werewolf. “Anyone ok?!” The man asked. “We are ok. This girl had killed the werewolf.” Lisa responded then points to the dead werewolf which is now half-frozen in ice. The man looks like he was an image of perfection with blonde hair and golden eyes. He wears a Kurzick Assassin Armor that I saw while visiting Cantha and his cape looks weird, it looks like wings. “Ok, I’ll be guarding the entrance in case of another breach.” The man said. “Can I come along? I needed the experience.” I asked. “You are just lucky that this one is a pup, but alright.” Gold answered to me as he beckons me to come with him. I followed him to the entrance and instead of him getting jumped, I did. Now, my staff is what kept me from getting killed by the Ryouku Werewolf and I was losing the lock. The man kicks the werewolf away from me and blows fire out of his mouth, burning it like an overcooked moa meat. “I’m Draco, but you can call me, Gold.” Gold introduced himself as he helps me up. I saw a werewolf charging at Gold from behind. “Gold! Hit the dirt!” I shout as I ready my favorite spell, Lightining Javelin. Gold crouches as I toss the spell at the werewolf. Direct hit! It shivers by the shock and lies there. Gold turns around blows another stream of fire at it, killing it. “Good move! Get ready for more!” Gold told me. After killing three werewolves that breached, Lisa steps out and looks around. “Where is Sky?!” Lisa asked. “She is helping the defense hold the wall!” Gold answered. “Ok. Is Darkfang amongs the attackers?” Lisa asked. “No! He is not amongst them. He must be waiting for our weakness...” Gold answers but interrupted when a werewolf tries to strike him, but failed. Gold dodges it, grab it by its leg and burns it. I turn because I heard thumping and I saw what I think is a Mantid from Cantha. It stopped in front of us and transforms into a dwarf. It was Classic and he must have good news since he got a smile on his face. “The battle had finished! We won the brawl!” Classic announced. “This is good to hear, Classic. Lisa was not capture and I got a little extra help from this girl.” Gold said and Classic looks at me with a smile. I smiled back, knowing that I showed Classic that I’m useful after all. The other defenders come along and stop at the center of the camp. Lisa and I escorted the refugees to the center. A werewolf with its fur stained deeply in blood approaches Lisa. “Lisa, Sacred and Dad are going to hunt for something to eat.” The Werewolf said to Lisa. “Ok. Thank you, Azriel.” Lisa responded. Azriel nods and walks back to his spot. Jenna comes and sits next to Classic, who was beside me. “Hehehe, that was a good brawl! Did you see how I smashed one werewolf skull in while it is in mid-air?” Gambrick said as he laughs about the fight. “Fifty-five kills here.” Classic said. “Ha! Sixty-Seven.” Gambrick replied. “Seventy.” Jenna said and the two looks at her in surprise. After minutes of hearing their experiences during the fight, Sacred and Viktor returns with dead animals for food. The foods are cooking while some likes them raw have the remaining meat. “Do you think Darkfang will come next time?” Classic asked Lisa. “I don’t really know. He was persistent enough to try and get at least a foot close to me before the civil war.” Lisa answered. “My week visit is nearly over. In the morning, I have to go back to Tyria.” Sky told Lisa. “Ok. I hope you can travel safe with the civil war going on.” Lisa responds to Sky. Sky finishes her dinner and goes to her tent. A young woman, probably my age and looks really energetic. runs to Classic and stops with a skid. “Hi, Classic!” The young woman greets with excitement. “Long time, no see, Celebrien, hi.” Classic greets back with a calm tone. “A couple of weeks since I left and this happened. Seems that I missed that meeting with Darkfang.” Classic joked. “There was no meeting, Lisa went hunting with Darkfang and he left her to fend for herself against too much giant spiders while he runs away. Thank Dwayna that she got away.” Celebrien told Classic. “That beast! I should have skinned him since the confrontation!” Classic growls with unforgiving anger. “It does not matter, I’m alive and Darkfang will not break me.” Lisa said to Classic. “Ok, if you said so.” Classic calms. I was more afraid of Classic’s anger than Darkfang now. But seeing that Classic is easily calmed, he must be a forgiving person with enough anger to make his threats literal. “I hope Darkfang does not try and control one of us. It is night and we need our rest.” Jenna said. I heard something beside me, so I turn and found Gambrick sleeping awkwardly on the log. Myasha and Lunaria already went to their tent. Arctica is still with us but sleeping behind Classic. “Agreed. The geezer going to need his beauty sleep, even though he’ll be sore when he wakes.” Classic said and points at Gambrick. We laugh about that remark then Lisa, Jenna and Classic starts telling each other about their life while separated. “Like always, I’ll be helping Sky get to the desert so she can get to Tyria with getting hurt.” Celebrien said. “I think that the lass should come along. After all, she is a Tyrian too.” Classic points out at me. “Ok, its hard to understand a thing that Sky is talking about. Like about a cat like race and falling crystals from the sky.” Celebrien agreed.
