How to avoid voice prompts when calling major corporations.
I truly hate picking up the phone when telemarketers call, and I doubly hate it when I need to call a company and have to go through the voice mail prompts.  It isn't like I am so important and have to save the world or anything.  However, I am a person and would like to talk to a person instead of a computer or listen to a computer telling me what to do so that I can eventually talk to a person.

I am good at waiting.  I do a lot of it, for many different reasons.  Not that I like it per say, but I find myself waiting frequently.  There are times though, that I would like to not wait, and if I can avoid those times, I am very happy.  The other day, I was in the doctor's office, waiting of course, and came across a magazine about traveling on a budget.    Sort of ironic, don't you think?  After the articles about where to go looking for adventure, and road trips to be sure not to miss in the back of the magazine was a very short blurb about "No Waiting".  So, I read on, naturally curious.  There is a site that is devoted to helping people getting to humans on the other end of the phone of large corporations, without waiting or ten voice prompts and button pushes later.  No really, I am not joking.  It is called Get Human and can be found at http://www.gethuman.com

The site has companies listed alphabetically by industry.  It also has a tips and discussion blog area where you will find even more information.  Finding the companies that you do business with, and printing out the information that helps you to directly get the assistance you need, without the wait frees up time to go ahead and plan that road trip that you don't want to miss.

I am dusting off the atlas.  Okay, now where is Route 66?
