Fade

Putting the past behind you.

We're reaching out,
for something that isn't there,
its makes us want to shout,
it seems like no one cares.

The past comes back,
there is nothing we can do
to avoid its attack, but do
whatever we can to get through.

All of the regrets and sorrows,
that we put in the back of our mind,
blind us from the fact that we may
not have a tomorrow, and solace is
something we cannot find.

When we finally lay it all down
and forgive all of the mistakes that
have been made, we can say that
grace came around, and grace
makes the past fade.
