It's my first time to try to put an experience in to words.
I was hungry for more than life had served me so far so I took a grand step and I hopped in my car. If I had any sense I abandoned it on the side of the road between here and Dallas. I said hey you stay here I've had enough, maybe I'll pick you back up, when this life gets tootough. You got me nothing but safe and now I'm ready to live a life with more taste so I cleansed my palate and got ready my plate. My eyes fell on a music man and soon my heart did follow. It's funny what your feelings feel even if your mind feels of it, shallow. He said," hey do you wanna come see me play?" I jumped at that chance and followed his lead, his trailer park upbringing, that didn't mean a thing, just a flash of that grin would do me right in and I thought this must be the way. We had a fun time, it was just like they say, love is blind and this was the first I felt that way. He was a good boy or at least so I thought, we'd lie there with our songs and life to talk about. He'd tell me his secrets and sell me some lies packaged up like sweetness and each time I'd buy. We did dinner and movies and quiet nights in, he took me to concerts and to places I've never been. He could reach me in ways I did not know could be reached, I learned some life lessons, only that he could teach. We had ups and downs and times in between, it was laughter and crying and a first he would claim. I have no regrets even to this day, even when things got bad and we'd go another way. I'd do my thing in the back ground, but fell, and our love could not keep me from the path I would dwell. Goodbye was the hardest thing we had to go through, I acted like I was fine and it was what I wanted to do. He let me go, he set me free, even though with him I wished I could be. But GOD knew back then what I now know today, that this was just a part of my life I would look back on someday. So sometimes when you feel like you maybe just lost your way for things you have gone through, that's just not the case. For each thing we go through shapes us for what lies ahead. It gives us good memories of an early life lived.
