A poem written about love unrequited.
When love spreads its vicious jaws
And cleaves a heart in two.
And a blood, pure white, falls
To the floor, its budding arms ensue.
Ever closing towards your vacant heart.
Unable to find an entrance to your soul.
Struggling to become ever part
Of your bleeding heart and whole.
My breathing stopping short at the sight
Of your self before mine eyes.
And my face does blanch white
with the blood of the unwise.
And the spittle in my throat
Does clog my voice from your ear.
Hands thrust into folds of my coat.
Hiding the wringing and the fear.
I wander ever on; lifeless; loveless.
Judging others to your form and memory.
Mighty love, will I never possess
Your love wherein I could see
A freedom of my embodied soul.
An awakening of life where none can be found.
An ever growing inability to console
My mind at the striking pound
Of the clock in the hall, as time
Passes and leaves me behind.
And I am lost in the rhyme
Of this lonely love that's mine.
You have only one true love.
The others are false gods proclaimed.
You must push pass their lies and above
Their many misled prophecies dreamed.
And from my heart my pure blood pours evermore.
Drowning my tears in its mortal solitude.
Pulling with it the love that I wore
Without me being, hoping it to intrude
Upon your blessed body and heart.
Your very image is bore into my brain.
This and your lyric voice is all you will impart.
This love and thoughts are driving me insane.
Would you lay with me in a field of emotional truth?
All your feelings flowing amid sorrowful stems.
Roaming free in your oppressing youth
With imagined jewels and diadems.
Chasing after fleetingly glimpsed dreams
That soon fall to dust with age.
And everything is really what it seems.
And nobody has an inner visage
Where their genuine emotions hidden deep
Creep and crawl through their wormholes.
From out their tiny cracks the blood does seep
And courses into love's hidden knolls.
And there we will keep it in our hearts entombed.
Locked away from the world's greedy hands.
Free love is to readily devoured and consumed
And pulled apart into long, billowy bands.
And when time does attain it death.
And the world lives in a shadow of security.
Passion will be the beacon of breath
That ransoms me from iniquity.
The blood that overwhelmed me
That I am immersed in it.
Pervades my nostrils and mouth with purity.
Raises to the heavens my weary spirit.
And I know my love will be eternal.
The blood streaming immersing all.
