Describing My Love For You

My feeble words are made of toothpicks
When I try to describe my love for you,
On my best thinking day
I am able to connect these tiny pieces
One by one, end to end
And build a monument to you.

My thoughts turn to you with each waking second
Your essence fills me with grandeur and goodness
A vision of your sunshine warms me
With the rays of your beaming smile,
The curl of your lips, the flash of your teeth
Floods my every sense with the wondrous scent of your love
I can only tremble timidly
Hoping I don't burst my skin at the seams.

My feeble words stutter off my tongue
Their inability to define your spirit
Is as harsh as a gross mispronunciation,
Inaccurate as though my illness is an icing of the mind
Inept as if I attempt to lather my language with luscious words
I can not speak.

So, I close my eyes and try to imagine
Images that would closely crop your beauty,
I see a sanctuary of sandy beaches
A gentle breeze waving through shiny, bouncy, lively hair,
As I gaze, I float on top of air
And enter the most exquisite gardens of wild orchids
Their petals beaming proudly
As they stand at attention to help the gazing admire
Their sharp hues lavish and lush,
The plentitude of hue more astonishing than
The beauty of a rainbow rolling across the sky.

My skinny sticks are constructed
An homage of my love,
They fill the sky with splendor
Overfilling the lines of it's bounderies
My stutter remains,
And those frisky phonetics still glue themselves
I may not be able to communicate it
My utterances are still incomprehensible
But my heart beats wildly at your essence,
My soul expands across oceans
And I know that my love for you can funtion without sense.
