Trying to Sleep

wind, wind, blow away
come back as the sky turns grey.
blow away the sun that day.
blow away the moon that way.
blow away, blow today

wind, wind, come again.
come with or without the rain
renew everyone's troubled pains.
with the rain wash away these that stain.
make these stains washed away.
clean all our pains today.
help us all from going insane.

storms at day, and storms through night.
powered winds with bolts of light.
the noise of howling, the flashing sky
the most peaceful place holds no lie.


thunder and lightning,
presence isn't frightening.
soothe my every thought
of the pain people brought
re-power my life, make all things right
help me sleep tonight
