Just in the seventh grade
Alyssa was the shit
She was everything guys wanted
she fought, got drunk and skipped
She had the latest shoes
and the most expensive clothes
she had her name tattoed on her back
and a piercing on her nose
In eighth grade she was gone
and no one had seen her since
and in 9th grade she returned
with a big difference
her tiny waist was gone
and had expanded east to west
She was still failing every course
and flunking every test
word was she had a kid
and that it wouldn't let her rest
and now where were her girls
where were her so called 'friends?'
from reading this short poem
I hope a lesson you have learned
from Alyssa's experiences
and after her return
Popularity isn't worth the go
and it isn't worth the get
when you end up up doing things
that you'll later regret.
