Creative Impulse

In dark and light---
Where rays of shadows play,
A mystical sight is seen
Near the pond, a mirror
Of light. Where nature is born
And the wisps of life circling
About can be seen: there
You can find me. My mind:
The peaceful maze. Lying
In the soft moss bed, where
Grass grows in tufts, straight
Into the air, joined in hand by
The flowers: blue and red. In
Peaceful serenity, you'll find
Me: off the trail and through
The woods far from humanity’s
Lair, where the light dances on
The breeze and shadows run
And skip and play. I'll be lost
In the corners; in a mind that
Dreams. A dream that whispers
On the winds, curling and whistling
On by, catches my imagination in
A whirlwind of the sublime; when
Man meets nature's end. This
Is where you'll find me, alive
In nature, sitting on the edge
Of a reality clear to one: me,
The girl past in memory.
