Learning Life

Years of Joy

So tiny and warm, healthy and strong,
In my arms is where you belong.
Full tummy, warm and tucked in tight.
As you grow, many things come in time,
Bruised,bumps,scraps and falls.
Screams,cries,through the night.
Kisses and hugs and tucked in tight.
Make-up and dress-up as one grows.
Curious and questions may come about,
Good for the night, and tucked in tight.
Hearts,broken,cracked but yet mended.
Harsh words spoken,but yet forgiven.
Boys will come and boys will go.
Tears will fall, and smiles will be far,
but yet I still have one more night, for
which I know she is tucked in tight.
Cap and gown,walking so tall,
looking back how we went through it all.
For time has come to spread her wings,
I wish her life of many things.
