A Grossblank poem written for Kansaspoet Contest |
| In The Woods On A Blustery Day As I walked through the woods on a blustery day, the harsh noises outside could not penetrate there. My only companions were birds and animals put there by nature itself. I let my mind go free and blocked all that might hinder my earnest search for the serenity necessary to calm my tired spirit and soul. The wind in my face was soothing and warm, bathing my spirit with joy, and my soul with the refreshing calm of that place. Now, when my spirit and soul began to feel stressed, I close my eyes and think of that blustery day I walked through the woods and found the refreshing peace. |
