Childhood sexual abuse
Life is not fair.

I’ve heard that the chances of being abused for a little girl, is one in four.

I don’t mean hitting or spanking,

I mean when a man or a teenage boy

takes her in a room and locks the door.

-

How do you say no when you are five years old?

How do you get through the fear when he says

he’d kill your parents if you told?

Is this the curse of being a little girl?

-

Doesn’t he know the pain he is causing her?

Is he so self centered, he does not care if she is scarred for life by this act?

What if he is a brother, a father or an uncle?

What will happen to family ties when the truth comes out?

-

I’ve heard that the chances of a child being sexually solicited online is one in five.

Practically every day I see it on the news.

Just the other day a local school teacher was arrested

for making his fourth grader pose in positions for online porn.

What did that little girl learn from her teacher besides the norm?

-

Life is not fair.

Its not that I am unaware that this also happens to little boys.

But I know it is not as often.

I’m one of those girls who carries the scars.

And I am an over protective mother of a little girl.

I’ll never stop worrying.

-

I wish I had not learned the curse of being a little girl.
