A story conveyed mostly with emotion.
In the darkest of hours
In the gloom of the night
It would seem that the end
Is finally in sight

Just looking around
As the world seems to pause
You fear not for yourself
But the damage you cause

The thoughts of the past
You try to maintain
But they run through your head
Again and again

You would give anything
To undo this last hour
But the truth is you can't
And the fear starts to flower

The world starts to blur
This is all just a dream
From which you can't wake
And which seems so extreme

You cannot escape
This living nightmare
Your blood starts to boil
And your heart starts to tear

But you stop yourself there
For you can't change the past
You realize it now
And make this moment last

You stand there confused
Conflicted, constrained
As your wrists start to glisten
Constricted, contained

The words that are said
Speak of your own mistakes
The dream starts to end
And your body, it quakes

What has just been done
Was by your own hand
But alas, you weren't there
So you can't understand

The lights begin to fade
But the truth starts to shine
It hurts me to say
But this pain, it is mine

It is my pain to bear
It is mine and mine alone
They were my own actions
For which I must atone

I sit there in calm
Among others, all hushed
I look on, confused
At spirits, uncrushed

What sets me apart
From the others in here?
I know this is not me
And I do shed a tear

The pain, and suffering
The loathing, remorse
I can't change my past
Only find a new course

There is much I regret
But not much I fear
For without my past
I would not be here

You do not know me
By simply first glance
But you have an idea
