Sometimes, we know our sister's love is too much to price.
**Thanks to Lexi Valentine, for your suggestions. I just read it over with your suggestions, and it sounds a lot better.

I have pondered many days
Of the memories I have made
As they drift from my mind and into my heart,
And finally enter into my soul.
And I wonder, how did I make it to today?

But as I reflect upon yesterday,
Your face fleetingly drifts
Through these forgotten memories,
As quick as I am to catch it,
There are moments I will never reach.
But at times, I think I've caught it,
These times I prevail over fate,
And I suddenly know how I've survived.

And I recall how you held my hand
And guided me through such scary times.
The light I could always see,
Especially in your eyes' laughter.
Your memory was found often, so very often,
In the smiles we shared and the memories we made.
Oh, and how warm I felt
When we could be best friends,
Without the words of comfort!

All these gifts you have granted me,
And all the less I have given you.
So I feel compelled to return to you all these deeds,
And yet, I cannot find a gift
That can repay your compassion.
What gift is worthy of a friend?
Only the superlative treasures,
Only the most luxurious do you deserve,
But I don't have the means
To provide you with the finer things.

So I find myself asking,
Just what to do.
So I give you something one cannot see,
Not a substance one can feel,
Nor something one may call grand,
But instead a place to retreat in sincerity and serenity,
A place for one to rest easy.

Close your eyes and feel yourslelf
As you drift away.
Away to a place where the mountains loom in grace,
The rivers flow in peace.
Light dances over clear, blue lakes,
And the sun and sky remain clear overhead.
Where evergreen trees provide cover
And the birds whisper a song from above.
Where the breeze ripples through your hair,
And you can finally say, "This is where I'm free."

Here, in this special place,
Where flowers help to ease your mind,
And meadows grow for comfort,
Here, in this special place, you have wings to fly.
And below you, in the distance,
The colors blur together
Melting in the beauty of the world.
And here you can dance with the angels,
Singing joyful praises on high.

For if you find this special place,
It is yours to call home.
So, sister, take my meek dowry,
And go there often, knowing that my heart,
And yours,
Will always join together in that place.
This is my gift to you,
Lowly and unfitting though it is,
Take my gift and go.
