Flash the Light

Flash the light, turn him on bright
Flip the switch, Ohhh what a sight!
Soaring swiftly, through the night
I’ll try to catch him, he’s on the right!

I watch closely as he swings from his trapeze
Waltzing through air. He’s such a tease
He flips, twists and skips with flare
Landing on the left, juggling balls in the air!

I want to catch him...I follow him close.
I almost have him, but I trip on my toes.
Tumbling, fumbling, I can’t keep pace
He’s skipping, jumping and winning the race.

Now he’s in front of me taking the lead
Lighting the path, just what we need
He shines on the ceiling, the wall, the door
He tricked and tripped me, I’m on the floor

Flash flickers as he leads in my folly
He lights the path as bright as a trolly
Excitedly he climbs higher and higher
Brighter than bright, hotter than fire

I lay there, I watch him with my gaze
He flips and tumbles in a maze
My eyes work hard to follow his trail
I snatch him, missing the tip of his tail

Flash is fast
Flash is fun
Always smiling
On the run

When you can’t see light and you’re in the dark
Turn flash on, for a magnificent spark
Worry no more, just follow the light
Flash, Flash, He’s always in flight!
