Written for my brother about our rocky childhood.

You lay so silent, so still
your yeyes flutter to and fro
under closed eyelids
I lay here and watch you dream
You dream of a better life
A life without her
One without all the pain
You dream about us
About us never being left behind

Dear brother,
I fear for you
I fear for the pain you will feel
The pain of waking up
And realzing
it was all a dream

She did leave us
We did go through hell to survive
Our lives were ruined from day one
