For friends to see

For Friends to see.
For us to understand ourselves,
Though intelligent we may be,
How often do we forget to think.
I explore the people, who I know,
I hear them speak badly of others,
Putting them down, insults abound.

Blinded by the good that they see,
Never mentioning those accomplishments,
No matter how big, nor how small.
The words you did it wrong,
Are embedded forever,
Thank You is a treasured phrase.
So if you can find the time,
Find some kindness in your heart,
Smile, tell someone how good they did,

Make a memory, not an enemy.
Remember the cliché
Do unto others as you want done unto you.
Learn it, Live it,
If you are nice to others
Then others will be nice to you.

I ask you to please consider,
The effect a thank you can have,
For someone to hear that they did well.
Will bring a smile to someone’s face,
And in the end you get more, much more,
From friends you praise,
Than those you hurt.
