When your cat gets under your feet he's just doing the Shoddycat Shuffle |
The Shoddycat Shuffle By RA Henderson I weave here I weave there And cause such a kafuffle Twirling to and fro Steeping on your toe Doing the Shoddycat shuffle It may be rude To always intrude Demanding my food on the double Interrupting your stride Tripping you when you tried To avoid the Shoddycat shuffle Tail in the air Without a care Before each step I toddle Into your path Can’t help but laugh As you side step the Shoddycat shuffle I cry and meow Demanding food now I’m starving and oh so pitiful I am so greedy Give me more, feed me I’m hungry from the Shoddycat shuffle Fish and more fish Refill my dish Till you do I’ll insist on a cuddle I’ll sit in your chair And just stare and stare Waiting for the next Shoddycat shufle I’ll flick you in the face Just showing my grace On your lap I’ll purr and dribble So you’ll get on your feet And I can then beat My rhythm, the Shoddycat shuffle Between legs I weave In my wake I leave Arms and legs in a muddle In this dainty dancing My paddy paw prancing People can’t master the Shoddycat shuffle I push my luck Occasionally have to duck To avoid being squashed like a waffle By your big flat feet I hastily retreat So nimbly I do the Shoddycat shuffle Sometimes I miss And find that I kiss A foot or the floor as I struggle To regain composure As I suppose you’re Not in the mood for the Shoddycat shuffle I never learn At the very next turn I shepherd you toward the next morsel Demanding my feed As I take the lead In the dance of the Shoddycat shuffle |
