I Found A Hero in You

You're a special person in my life
and not just because I once was your wife,
I look at you and there is so much to see and
I'm thankful for the history between you and me.

The experiences and emotions we've shared thru the years
Brought a lot of Joy, laughter and a few too many tears.
Yet these are the reasons our friendship is strong
added to a new found respect as we go along.

It's been over a decade since you had your fall and
yet in a wheelchair you walk so tall.
You're kinder and sweeter and funnier by far and
your spirit and attitude make you a shining star.

Some people wonder why I do what I do,
The answer is clear, I've found a hero in you.
