Poem about choosing direction.
Here I sit,
again...
Searching the internet for websites,
to tell me what to do.

What is life?
I don't know. I lost my way.
The past 20 years are gone,
Yet each day they are strong memories,
That won't go away.

Bad decisions.
Not about drugs, or crime,
or buying the wrong house.
But about a career choice.

I've tried beyond hard to make it work,
to make a living, to make a home.
But it hasn't worked.
It has worked the hell out of me.

My choice of career has not been good,
I'm not good at it,
But it's good at
Taking advantage of me.

Career tests, books, websites,
Even vacations to the woods.
Tell me Mr. Frost what to do.
I found your place of solace but no answer was there for me.

I'm too sane for suicide, and too crazy to continue in the same occupation.
The tests say I am a creative person,
But my degree says Accounting.

I think I'm screwed.

So here I sit,
again...
Searching for websites to cover my pain,
the pain that tells me I'm a loser,
Because everyone is successful but me.
