After thoughts of a concert and the interesting beauty of a musician on stage performing.

"A Concert Observation"

Stage lights shine so bright
falling down so hot,
making the singer's skin sweat-soaked,
glistening so beautifully,

His hair once brushed and dry,
now, damp and shining with sweat;
framing and sticking to his face in such disarray!
Is he a fallen deity? Or, a fallen angel?

Leaning down- grabbing hands
singing powerfully without fear,
moving, dancing, running around the stage expertly;
singing to the rhythm, so skillfully,

making it seem like child's play,
His guitarist leans casually against him,
as he screams, yelps, his words to the music.
moving about to and fro,

A tiger with so much energy begging to be released,
'til there's nothing left to give,
the feeling is so heavy, electric, amazing.
graceful and stalking the stage,

A "god" upon his throne,
all eyes on him, lions stalking their prey!
hazel-eyed and tattooed
standing upon the stage, watching

those who have come to see his performance;
as they scream for him, vying, for his attention.
eyes and body alive with a passion that burns fierce,
and I begin to wonder if that desire will ever burn away.

Burn up!
Burn out!

As the final beats and lyrics of the evening ring out,
the singer and his band take their final bow;
it's just goodbye for now, waiting for
their return on the stage some other day.

Lights fade to black
and the show is over,
the band leaves this place behind,
moving onto another city, somewhere else.

Everything is quiet and calm again,
but: only for a little while!
