A broken love results in an untimely accident. Please read and review!
Standing on my doorstep one late and snowy night,
I decided to take a short walk as I held myself tight.
I passed by the places which brought me back memories,
but I felt more pain, for my heart is still missing a piece.

Walking down the street, down to the park where we used to stay,
I found myself struggling not to let his image fade away.
Unknowingly, tears started streaming down my cheek,
then it all came back again like it only happened just last week.

We were under the shade of that same, old cherry blossom tree.
Seeing the painful feeling in his eyes, from it, I don’t think I could ever break free.
He held me tightly in his arms like he never did before.
I soon felt the urge not to let go of his embrace more and more.

He brushed the strands of hair away from my face.
Beside him, I could always feel my heart race.
He placed his hand on my neck and brought his lips closer to mine.
I closed my eyes, but I know everything is still not fine.

After a while, I gently pushed him away, breaking the kiss,
and felt like that’s one of the things I’m sure going to miss.
He then slowly whispered something in my ear.
At that very time, I knew I was already facing my greatest fear.

He told me that we no longer can stay together.
I deeply wished I could erase that in my memory forever.
Lowering his head, he walked away, saying one last goodbye,
then I broke down into tears which I couldn’t stop no matter how hard I try.

Days passed without him by my side,
but I continued to go on with life even though I’m sure my feelings still haven’t died.
I know it felt like my heart was being torn,
so I just convinced myself that a new feeling will soon be born.

After the long silence, I found a note from him placed on my chair,
instructing me to go there if I still care.
Deep inside, I know, in him, I still believe,
but when I arrived, it was already time for him to leave.

He noticed me and gave me a sincere smile,
then I felt my heart skip, and I knew it was no lie.
but it seems like fate has already decided to tear us forever apart.
A whole new arrow had pierced me, completely breaking my heart.

I restrained myself from stopping him as I watched him from the other side of the window.
And by the time he got on the plane, my feelings sank so low.
It soon took flight, but then, the pilot lost control.
I was fear-stricken when I witnessed the plane crash and fall.

I frantically fought my way and saw him lying near.
Holding him in my arms, I could feel my heart slowly tear.
He placed his hands on mine; my heart already beating fast,
and told me that he wanted that very moment to last.

I pressed myself closer to him, giving him my body’s heat,
then I felt his heart slowly stopping to a beat.
The sky soon darkened and poured down the rain.
My sorrow went on and on, for it can never wash away the pain.
