Through the looking glass
A garbled figure lurks.
Incipient growth, molting crass.
Through the looking glass
A consummate effigy begins to amass.
Progress is one of life’s inescapable perks.
Through the looking glass
A garbled figure lurks.

* *A triolet is a French poem of 8 lines. Any numbers of syllable per line is allowable. The rhyme scheme should be:

(Triolet explanation stolen from Rixfarmgirl Author Icon in her triolet for the same contest "My HoneyOpen in new Window.)
