You write a thought-provoking piece, Maven. Let me just start off by saying I am Christian. I live in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood in my state. I enjoyed your piece because I think you are correct. Some people don't like to look at the discrimination and the stereotypes , so they would get angry at what you write. So what if the Jewish family owns the nicer home? Perhaps you should work harder instead of complaining about it. That same Jewish family will make sure their children have a good education to perhaps live better than their parents. What is so bad about that? Better than complaining about it as your kids sit all day in front of the video games.
Personally, it doesn't even matter to me who killed Jesus. That was 2000 years ago. People who are now are not the people who were then. This includes the nationalities who were part of the Roman Empire. It's easier to be jealous and be hateful than it is to dig in and try to achieve those same goals themselves.
I'm not touching on all of it, but I really enjoyed the piece.
This is interesting. I think I shall ponder this more when I am alone. I cannot tell if you have insomnia or do you work the 3rd shift? Or are you just a night owl? I love to be up really late. My mind is clearer at night than it is in the morning and afternoon. For me it's that night time silence that is most comforting and relaxing. The absence of outside interference. You can hear your own thoughts clearer. Your concentration is better. Colors seem sharper. But.....this is just me.
This is really good. So little yet you can take so much from it.
A wonderful and heartening story of courage and tenacity. The stories kind of ran into each other, although I understood your meaning well. Make this a longer story so the different "episodes" don't appear jumbled, and can be easily separated by more description and by going deeper into the different parts of the story. It would be great reading and definitely a lesson for those who understand and accept the meaning.
