On a Ghazal, I thought there was a certain structure to it other than just sets of two lines. I thought that there were a few words that were repeated at the end of of the second line on every stanza, except on the first one, where it's done at the end of both the first and the second lines. For example (...s equal miscellaneous content):
...a
...a
...
...a
etc. Then it can go on forever; I remember there is a guy who spent a really long time on one (year's or even more, maybe?).
The poem itself was very good, though. I loved the vocabulary you used (it was so fluent!) and it painted a perfect picture in my head. The alliteration in the first line was intersting; the second line of the second verse is especially good.
The last line was interesting, though I didn't understand what the blood represented; was it just for the picture or was there a representation?
OK, excellent work on the poem! If I didn't show my enthusiasm before, here it is now. I'm adding this one to my favourites.
Great work, once again, fyndorian.
