Let me begin by saying I like the introduction and premise. Glad to see the quick change of scenes, too. Felt a bit sorry for Argus, the poor minotaur! He didn't seem to have much of a chance! Never seemed to land a good blow. The characters are a little beyond me with the references to the Minotaur (What is a 'minotaur' exactly? Sorry! But I don't read a lot of fantasy fiction!)
In the dialogues, the grammar and spellings: (A "wooded" stool! Or is it "wooden"?) and the placement of commas and punctuation, Some sharp-eyed editing will help. The dialogue between the High Priest and his guys meeting Theren really starts to crackle along and keeps the interest flowing. (I'm thinking, "What do they want from him? What is the real reason for them being there? Can they be trusted and believed?") Good edginess and concerns are starting to form. Theren has already proven himself to be a good fighter. But what are his weaknesses? Will he be gullible and easily misled? Does he trust these strangers too readily? They seem to be on the up and up. Good stuff is starting to form.
Keep going! I want to read more!
