Well, your poem is the FIRST poem/writing I've read in MONTHS!!! I keep getting reminder emails from Writing.Com to come back and write, and/or rate :)...so, FINALLY I gave in to the fact that I reallllly miss it here...and I HOPE I'm back tee hee :)...just can't do the upgraded account, so I'll prob. be doing more rating than anything :)....
Anyway, I LOVE LOVE your poem!!! I could actually SMELL the 'rotten' smells of plums...even though honestly I've never smelled that smell quite yet :)...your words are so well put together, that it helps bring the reader (ME) to that sense of being, where I can feel, smell, see, and hear the surroundings around me :). I especially like what it says at the very ending...about children passing, no matter what age, w/ grave looks of dread on their faces...I can actually FEEL the dread to go to school...and the sadness of a summer past :(...
This really is a good write!!! Keep up the GREAT work!!! :) Keep on keeping on :)
OMG...ROFLMAO!!!!! I LOVED that poem!!!! GOOD ONE!!!! It REALLLLLY had me going on up to the very end, where she told him her doom lmaO!!! I LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!!!!! You most DEFINETELY have some TRUE talent there...and QUITE the comedian if I don't say so myself :)!!!! So, are all your poems like this one, with a surprised ending :D!!! GREAT JOB!!! Keep on keeping on :)!!!!

WOW...I'm glad I 'bumped' into you in the chat room!!! I finally finished reading your Short Story and I LOVED it!!!! It told of some young kids whom somehow became lost in a cold (maybe windy) cave....I can even see snow inside the cave for some reason (don't think I read anything about snow but for some reason I see it!! Strange, huh?). Anyway...it tells about the courage of these kids hanging on to the hope of seeing their Parents at the end of the Darkness!!!! GRRRREAT Story, wonderful beginning, middle and ending!!! GRRREAT JOB!!! I give you a A+!!! (I suppose I'm used to giving letters hee hee...I home school my two daughters :)!!!!).
I look forward to reading more of your stories :)!!!!
-Rebecca :)
I really enjoyed this read! Very smooth and understandable :). It made me think of how many times I have sat in front of my computer or paper and just stared blankly! Having so much to say but, no words to describe it and, then....one day....something goes off in my head and my fingers and I just can't STOP writing :)!!!! Hee Hee...I LOVED it!!! Very cute :)!!!! Grrrreat Job!!! Keep on Keeping on!!!!
I really enjoyed reading this. I don't know if it's fiction or not (I apologize if it said that somewhere on your page) but, the way it was written brought me right on in the story :). I could almost see myself sitting there in the room with the "first person" speaking...as if I were her sister. This even made me think back when I was in High School....I used to spend a lot of Wk. Ends at my best friend's home and, her Mother was a Alcoholic. She REALLY became deep into drinking after her husband left her...I remember watching her stumbling all over the place....saying things that didn't make sense...laughing OUT LOUD at nothing....so, your story really brought out my imagination of fiction and real past life...GREAT JOB!!!! Keep on writing and Keep on keeping on :)
-Rebecca :)
I would LOOOOVE to join your group :)!!!! Also...where would I go to put in a request for a upgrade?? Or do you help with this?? It's ok either way...I still want to be part of your group :)!!!! Thanx for the opportunity!!!! I think it's WONDERFUL what you are all doing here :)!!!!
God Bless :)
and Happy Holidays!!!
Sincerely,
Rebecca :)
This is BEAUTIFULLY Written!!! :) I LOVE it!!! It makes ME think about when I was young and when I could ask all the older people (My Mother, Grandmother, Auntie, Teachers, Youth Paster, Older Sister...etc...etc...) :)!!!! Now...it's my own Children's turn and, let me tell you, they NEVER stop asking :)!!! HEE HEE!!! Especially my youngest, my 10 year old Boy, Brent...he might be extremely hyper and rambuncsious but, this kid...he'll NEVER stop learning!!! Kids are so silly and they DO say the darndest things :)...it's good we answer their every question..even IF we are not sure of the answer, at LEAST WE tried and we gave them what little we could...we gave them a little more of their future!!!!
Anyway...you have a lot of feeling to let out here...that I CAN see...I'm no pro but, from what I can see, you know what you are doing when it comes to writing!!! Keep on keeping on :)!!! GREAT JOB!!! :)
Sincerely,
Rebecca :)
WOW!!! That was so BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVED IT!!! I'm NOT just giving you a 5 because I like the topic BUT, because, it is so WELL written....written so BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'm NO English Major BUT, I can see good writing when I see it :) and, this is GOOOOOD!!!! GREAT JOB!!!! :)
WOW!!!! YES...I said WOW!!!! That's the ONLY word that came to my mind when I read it!!! Your words are so BEAUTIFUL and FUL of meaning....every bit of them!!! Are you from Indian decent?? I know I should of read your Bio before asking that question but, I had to know....well...it was kind of obvious from your words that you have a LOT of inner memories from your ancestors :)!!! My youngest son's Father was half African American and Half Siox (sp?) Indian and, I have approx. 1/8 th Cherokee Indian blood....anyway...I just think you have so much to say and it shows in your words here :)!!!! I might just have to swing by your port and check out some more of your work :)!!!! GREAT JOB!!! Keep on Keeping on and my goodness...don't EVER stop writing because, you have to much to let out and say :)!!!!!
-Rebecca :)
I really enjoyed reading your poem! The way it was written left me with two very imaginative thoughts! One.. I thought of it as if Mr. and Mrs. Graves were really two elderly people, whom had a lot of experience in life and, they were speaking to a younger crowd of people about these experiences.
Then, the other thought was, that someone was walking through a grave listening to the tombstones speaking from beyond about the mystery of death! But, to me, it was in a calm, respectful sort of way.
You have a very creative side to you that, just speaks out through your words...and, even though the poem was not a long poem...it spoke of so much in so little words!!!
GREAT JOB!!! :)
Sincerely,
Rebecca :)
Wow....that was GOOD!!! I really enjoyed reading your story/poem!!! It had SO much meaning and feeling!! When I read it...the words just rolled right off my tongue (not literally of course :)!!!)! Every word that rhymed also made sense with everything else...that is NOT easy to do! It's so sad at then end though :(...I picture a tired old cowboy, awaiting his hanging sentence, alone in his cell...but, I wonder, was he REALLY guilty for what he was accused of doing?!!! Maybe he was and maybe that was his way of dealing with it!!!! Either way, it was a darn good story!!! I LOVED it!!! GREAT Job! Don't stop writing and keep on keeping on!!!
Hello there :). I read your artical and wow, I was just totally into it!!! It was extremely informational and, I actually learned a few things about stress that I didn't know!!! Me of all people...I could REALLY benifit from an artical just like this :)!!! You really had your information put together so well! It even made you sound extremely professional! Are you a Dr. or a Nurse maybe?!!!
I tell ya what, I would give ANYthing to be able to get a nice 30-60 min. massage once a day to take some of MY stress out of my mind and body!!!!
I really like the part about pets :)!!! I have 3 Mama cats (we've had for years now) and a liter of 3 kittens and one rabbit!!! The rabbit (Mr. Whiskers), belongs to my 16 yr. old....he is the SWEETEST!!! She's had him for about 3 years now :)!!! He lives on our patio of all things heehee!!! He LOVES his freedom out there! But, ONE thing I've always noticed is when I am depressed or maybe a little tense, I hold him and, somehow some of it seems to magically disappear!! I had always heard those stories about people bringing their cats and rabbits (and other little furry, fluffy creaturs :)!!!) to a children's hospital to help the kids heal better, faster and to make them happier!!! I've mentioned to my daughter a few times that we should get a rabbit carrier and do that sometime :)!!!!
Anyway, I really did love your artical...it deserved a 5!!! GREAT JOB....keep on keeping on, and great luck with more to come?!!!
Sincerely,
Rebecca :)
Hello Cissy,
This is a beautiful poem!! It's like a prayer to me. It makes me think about the few nightmares I have had in the past (I haven't really had any nightmares in a long time though!). I love how you put your words together, they are so full of so much meaning! You know, I LOVE dreaming! Especially when my days are sometimes full of depression. It's often like those dreams (not nightmares) just sort of take me away from the immediate world and into this make believe world where these magnificent things appear and go on!!!
Seriously though, on top of your poetry, I looked through your photo art gallery and everything in there is GORGEOUS!!! I LOVED them!!! Did you do the photo art yourself???
You are a true poet!!! Keep on keeping on!
Your Poem about your sickness has touched me dearly. I am not giving you a perfect rating because of the fact, I am giving you a perfect rating because this is something you obviously deserve!!! You have a way with these words...it's almost as they roll right out of the depth of your soul into the minds of other's!!! Your words have given me as an individual a brand new outlook on my own life!!! Your words have somehow helped me to see that how I suffer does not even come close to comparing to so many others...my problems seem as a pen point compared to a rain drop!!!
Your words are so beautiful and meaningful! Please...keep up the fight, you have shown through your words that you ARE EXTREMELY strong and have a HUGE will for living your life to the fullest...don't stop writing please!
You will stay in my prayers from this day on :)....
WOW.....I am now lost for words...isn't it WILD how much mere' words from a "stranger" can bring tears to a person's eyes? THAT is EXACTLY what your words did to me! I SERIOUSLY broke down and CRIED!!!! It was so meaningful, and beautiful, sentimental to no END!!!
All I could think was, Country Song!!!! Your Poem would make the BEST Lyrics, NO JOKE...I KID YOU NOT!!!! You ARE EXTREMELY talented and emotional with your words...the way you've expressed your feelings in this poem...wow!
I DID say I am lost for words!!!!! Thanx for the feeling your words gave to me :)!!
Keep on keeping on!!!!
Well, so far since I've been here on Writing.com (or, really since I've started USING writing.com), I've seen a LOT of talent! Usually it's been Poetry or a short story but, at most part, everyone has their own individual style. Actually, another thing, real quick before I get to my point, I have made up words to songs just out of the blue, with my kids for fun but, I had no idea that had an actual name! So, when I read your Song Parody, from the very first word all the way to the last, my eyes did not want to lift up from each one! In my mind, I was singing the song, lol and, well, it was so funny, I could NOT stop laughing to myself (I mean that in a GOOD way!!!)! You are SO CLEVER, especially being your first song parody!! I'm going to have to have a whirl at it myself but, honestly...I don't think mine could compare to the cleverness and silliness and just the overall funniness hee hee!! :) GREAT JOB!!! Keep on, keeping on :)!!!
