Intriguing story.. Raises a lot of questions like - Who is this immortal character ? (If not human, that is)
Why is she in human form, if she isn't human ?
What other special powers does she have ? (Other than reading souls, extraordinary strength etc)
Does she have any emotions, or only a sense of right and wrong ?

I got the feeling that this is the introductory chapter to a novel about the 'immortal' girl and others like her.. Its a good teaser for sure. Well, all the best ! I'd like to read the novel too :)

A minor point - why is the last sentence of the story alone in present ternse instead of past ? (sings out to me.)

Good one. I enjoyed reading this.
Suggestion : Could have explained at the end, how the tiger came to be roaming in thecity streets (escaped from the zoo or something)

Well narrated story. It's easy to relate to, the sort of mistake everyone does when stifled by work and stress.

Makes for an interesting read.. The plot is new and well narrated. If the resemblance to Sherlock Holmes had been avoided, it would have been even better. When the plot is original, why not the characters as well ?
