Interesting cat there. I suppose every species has their own strange members, just like humans.

I remember playing with cats and a laser pointing. We would make the cat chase the laser pointer, and lead them to crash into some unlucky bystander who would yelp and run away.

Actually I love cats too.

Wow, so I assume that the plant was merely a nursery for an alien life form to grow in? Or was the boy a parasite? Or was the boy simply what the plant life was supposed to care for?

Interesting how the plant began to feel guilty over not allowing other life to grow. Wouldn't it merely say that it was because he was sentient and they were not? Well, I guess he must've been the vegetarian version of his kind, though I wonder if all of his kind were like him or he was simply different, and how it affects the boy.

I have some disagreements I'd like to point out.

In Pakistan, the tribal regions are indeed grounds which support the taliban. However, it is because the central government has no authority there. For the US to pursue Pakistan there is both self defeating and nonintelligent, as Musharraf has always tried to control the tribal regions. That is why the US actively supports the Pakistani military, even though they have an allweather alliance with China.

GB claims they have 100k terrorists. If each terrorist carries out one action in 10 years, and there are 10 terrorists per cell, then there should be 1k terrorist plots per year. Obviously that number is ridiculous.

I do agree that the focus was always securing oil supplies. That's why the US didn't attack a country that supplied them with oil, no matter how hostile their governments were. Instead they attacked Iraq, which didn't supply most of their oil in order to secure new oil sources. Instead however, the new Iraq government has awarded the first contract to a Chinese company. I guess kharma is a .

Wow, I'm astounded. This work is really nice. I love the plot twist, that all of the gifts ever left was saved there as a tribute.

This story really made me feel emotional.

It reminds me of those "boy's life" books I had read. The feeling of nostalgia for the past is the same.

Really fantastic job here. I was beginning to tire of the over the top genre vampire works that seems to be prevalent here.

Great. That was awesome. I've always been a fan of Sherlock Holmes, and this was a very interesting take on what happened between Holmes and Moriarty.. I must say that the characterization of Holmes seemed very apt, and that it felt really like it was actually Holmes.

Thanks for the info about Joseph Bell, I wasn't aware of it.

Very nice. I was very impressed. Great work of hard sci fi. The character seems real for such a short story, and a lot of the science seemed plausible.

I do have a question about the Brain though. Why couldn't it respond to people on Earth, but only talked to the guy on the space station? And why was he no longer human? I might have missed the part in the story.

Hmm, are you sure about the format of the poem? I'm not a poet, but I've always been taught that the form of a poem is very important when conveying meaning and expression. To me, the poem was too curt, for too long.

Your poem had very short sentences, which went on for a long time, without being broken down into sections. It seemed slightly ungainly to me.

The sort of poem you wrote seems to be able to benefit from syllabic rhyming (not sure what it's called exactly), where one line and the next rhyme, but also benefits from having the syllables of one line match up with the next.

You might want to check out some Jack Frost for what I'm talking about.

Interesting. I suppose a lot of assassins don't particularly enjoy their work, they just do so because it's what they're used to and how they make a living.

Funny how you did a fanfiction of Naruto. There were a bunch of grammatical mistakes that could be fixed quickly in an edit though.
