This piece is quite intriging. Surving the war would have been a feat by itself, much less being there giving birth in those days. To be focused on the outcome only in hard to do. Givinvg birth to a famous artist was quite a task. It is well written and and captures the readers attention, while posing the question, "Our John Lennon?"
This is a powerful piece even written in only five lines, it tells it all. I looked at the poem from a metaphorical stand point at well
and it tells of the destruction from all over. The first line brought to mind the blood red of the River Nile in Moses' day. The second line took me right to songs from the Viet Nam era and on today's fighting. This is an extremely power.
