When you look at it in your port, you'll see a number attached to it - 2323863. This is the item number. If you click on it once, it'll copy it. Click a second time and it'll copy this:

If you stick this in a newsfeed post, it'll create a shortcut people can use to find your story:

angel Author Icon - Take it slow to start with. There are a few contests around WdC where the target word count is low - 1000, 500 or even 100.

Even if you don't try these, don't set yourself a big target to hit. Just write your story and let it be as long as it needs to be.
