I have a problem entering a book that I wrote, 'Struggles of 18th Century Frontiersmen'. After I had posted it, it didn't show up on my blog. I started to repost it and my title cover said, 'Picture in use'? I think! Anyway I don't have the ability to see if the book is in writing.com and what the problem is. I may have filled a guide line out wrong and that is the problem. I don't know. What can I do to correct this error?
Take a look at "Writing.Com 101Open in new Window. for detailed instructions on how to populate a book.

I'm on the phone right now and can't really see what is wrong.

After reading over the help item, come back here and ask a more detailed question. Me or someone else might be able to give you targeted advice.
Annette Author Icon - I entered the story twice. 'Struggles of the 18th Century Frontiersman. The first time, I was asked if I wanted to supplament the one chapter story, 'The Struggling Frontiersmen' I clicked on it, while I should have erassed it before I began. The second time There was a warning not to use my picture again. I would like to use the picture and post the book if I could. Thank you!
As far as I can tell, you haven't created your book yet. I didn't see it in your portfolio.

Creating the book item itself is the same as your other portfolio items.

Once it is set up, you go and "Add Entry" to make chapters.
I wrote a book, this past year, that I don't want to publish because of financial reasons. It's 310 pages long. Does writing.com welcome this big of works, or would writing.com rather I post the work on some other site.

I'm sure I read here that if you make it available to everyone when you post it on WdC then that it may complicate matters should you ever change your mind and try to publish it - Santeven Quokklaus may be able to advise here. So you might be best to set the access permissions to registered WdC users only.
Once in Ryan David's City is correct. And some publishers don't like it at all, even if set at Registrered Authors and higher level.

However, as you are talking cost, I am assuming you mean self-publishing, in which case it will only affect sales to those WdC members who have read it. In which case, it's your call.

You do need to remember that very few members will want to read a work that long. But doing it as Annette said will allow people to at least read a chapter at a time and give you feedback in that way.
Thank you all for your support and advice.I've looked into the cost of trying to make a publication a success.(Expence verses return.) I self published 'The Making of a Modern Day Cowboy' last year on my own, which lead me to believe that authers do not have a lucrative business unless they sell millions of copies. I will continue to write and need a place to post it without too much cost.Thank you Annette for answering my question.
