Summary of this Book...
This book is about a lot of things. The book starts out describing a lot of ESPionage. ESPionage is a secret Russian branch that uses ESPers -anyone with any kind of ESP ability, like telepathy and other strange abilities- for covert activities.

One of the main characters is an ESPer named Boris Dragosani. Dragosani has the ability to reap secrets from dead men by examining their bodies, in other words, he is a necromancer. Dragosani also has a dead, or shall I say undead, vampire master who is entombed beneath the earth. The vampire uses Dragosani, but is thus used in turn. Dragosani wants to reap all of the knowledge out of the vampire, and become the ruler of the world.

Harry Keogh is an exceptional character. He is the necroscope, he has the ability to speak to the dead, and thus gain their abilities. Harry has trouble mastering his ability, but he puts it to good use when he takes on the necromancer.
I especially liked...
The book has a lot of surprises in it. You are initially thinking one thing and it goes off on a different, far more interesting path. The writing style may seem weird at first, but later it grows on you and you start liking it. The story is fantastic and completely original.
I didn't like...
It starts off kind of confusing, but after a little while you start to piece together things and it makes more sense.
The author of this Book...
Brian Lumley, a british author. He has written many horror novels. Necroscope is the first book of the Necroscope saga, which currently has a total of thirteen books.
I recommend this Book because...
It is a refreshing read. The storyline is excellent, and interesting. It is one of the best horror novels I have ever read.
I don't recommend this Book because...
Well, if you don't like gruesomely detailed horror, you won't like this. Also, the first half of this book has a few rather detailed sex scenes. But if you don't mind that stuff, you will like the book.
