Zombie hell!

THE DEAD OF NIGHT
Prologue
“ HELLO!” Mike Walters trudged through the snow, blood dripped from his head. “HELLO!” he approached the tall building praying that someone would open the door and let him in. The door opened slowly, and a face appeared in the entryway. It was a young male, he had to be around 20 or so. Mike dragged himself up the stairs and there he lay, his body sprawled out on the floor.
“ my god, its another one of those things.” mike looked up, the young man had a gun pointed at him, “ your trespassing,” before mike could utter another word the bullet had already punctured his skull. The man then took Mike and tossed his lifeless body back into the snow.
“ DID YA KILL IT?”
“ yeah ma, I got him,” he stepped back into the snug house.
“ good, keep those blasted zombies away.” the door slammed behind the man.

Part 1-

Rick Small was sitting in his cubical at the office he worked at. It was some factory that sold candy. He sat and answered the phones, listening to people bitch and moan. It was HELL. he had heard on the news about some disease going around the night before, so he was now worrying about his family. Little nine year old David at school and Tina, his wife. She was at home, sick with some flu….

Tina lay on the bed, dead. It wasn’t a flu, its was a virus. The zombie virus had gotten her and it killed her.

The fire siren went off inside the office, people jumped up and ran to the doors. Everyone was confused and scared. Maybe it was one of the zombies. Some people tripped and fell over, and the others would step on them not caring. People were crushed under their feet. He saw a friend of his, John Baldwin, he had been pushed down and he suffocated under the feet. It was one of the zombies! He saw that now because someone was taking bites out of the other. Rick saw that he wasn’t going to get through the front so he went around to the back and out the back door. Outside it was freezing cold, he didn’t care about going back and getting his jacket, he didn’t want to be eaten. There also was a lot of confusion outside, people were running from the crowd of zombies marching thought the street. He went the other direction and headed towards home. Rick had to jump through the yards to get home. In one yard, he found a man feasting upon a small child. He had jumped to the next yard and puked, then continued on. In one yard there was a zombie blocking his way so he had picked up a shovel that was lying against a shed, and he had beheaded the zombie. Finally, after jumping through twelve yards, he was home. It seemed safe to go in, there were no zombies around. He walked into the home and called for his wife: “Tina!” there was no answer, so he called for her again. Still there was no answer. He went into his bedroom, where him and Tina had slept peacefully together for the last eight years, and found her dead. He was devastated. So devastated that he had taken out his pistol from under his underwear in his dresser. He put the gun to his head and said some prayers. With tears running down his face, he pulled the trigger……
