It's fantasy, and my first story. Hope you like.
-The darkness of the tunnel made Christyen shutter. Up ahead he could see a light of Kaethrin's torch. They were looking for an Amulet, which her mother had lost while traveling when she was younger. It was supposed to be around the neck of a dead miner who had lost himself in the maze of the tunnel. Suddenly, there was a sound of falling rocks up ahead. Running to catch up with Kaethrin, he noticed the rock falling had almost gotten to her. He had seen Kaethrin throw herself against the beam cracking it.

Christyen: Kaethrin, no!
Kaethrin: I have to, it is the only way I can save you.
Christyen: I can't let you do this! I'd rather die here with you then alone.
Kaethrin: Christyen...I...(softly) You need to get out of here NOW!
Christyen: No...I can't.
Kaethrin: I'd rather one of us live then both of us die here.
Christyen: But...
Kaethrin: Go make the best wizard you can, we will see each other again, I promise.
-Christyen began to walk slowly backwards staring into Kaethrin's beautiful blue eyes. He trips on a rock. Quickly gets up and runs out to safety.
--The miners' tunnel started to cave in.
Christyen: Goodbye...Kaethrin. (softly)

-It was a Wednesday morning at the Alkamera School of Magic, Maldaein, a priestess, was waslking towards Christyens room. Maldaein is 18 years of age; Christyen is 19 years.

Maldaein: Morning Christyen.
-Maldaein crawls up onto Christyen's bed.
-Christyen sits up quickly in a startled stance.
Maldaein: Hey sleepyhead, did you have a bad dream?
Christyen: Yes Mal, exactly. And please I would appreciate if you didn't call me a sleepyhead.
Maldaein: Ahhh...Come on it's time to go to focus class.
Christyen: I think I might skip.
Maldaein: So what you're gonna make me go through that boring class all by myself?
Christyen: Yea, and you may want to pay attention so you won't be asking me for help everytime.
Maldaein: Oh, alright. You just have yourself a good skip day then.
-Maldaein leaves the room walking towards class. As she walks Elmar, a 21 year old moon mage approaches her.
Elmar: Hey Mal! (Shouting)
Maldaein: What is it Elmar?
Elmar: Where's Christyen? Is he not with you today? I hope he did not forget that we have some unfinished business tonight.
Maldaein: I'm sure he didn't forget, and now please go away I'm going to be late for class.
Elmar: Sure thing. Oh, and tell him 12p.m. sharp, West Wing.
-Maldaein begins to walk to class.
-Maldaein moves toward her seat and sits down next to Galen.
Galen: Hey Mal, looking fine today.
Maldaein: Thanks for the compliment, but you know Christyen and me are together.
Galen: Yea, and that's too bad. I would have been a better man to you.
Maldaein: You, a "man"...I'm sure you would. (sarcastically)
-The class begins.
-Christyen still lying in his bed, slowly begins to get up. A chill runs about his half-naked body. He pauses for a moment wondering where that came from. He continues to finish dressing. Every other day he goes to the tunnel, it is still caved. Each time he travels to the tunnel he uses his powers to try and crush through the rocks that block the entrance. As he walks the path to reach a point where he stays and prays to the Gods that Kaethrin is ok.
Christyen: How could I have let this happen. I should have ended up dead, not you. I wish I could go back and change what happened so you could live and trained even more as a priestess.
Christyen: I will once and for all shatter these rocks that block my way to find you.
-Christyen begins to cast the lighting spell.
Christyen: Ahe Jamra Deila Za
Ahe Jamra Deila Za
Ahe Jamra Deila Za
-The more he cast the more the rocks began to shatter piece by piece. He had said the chant 13 more time when a big chunk of a rock well.
Christyen: I have not much strenght left I meed to go and rest.
-Christyen thanked the Gods for being able to give him the amount of strenght given to him. He then headed back to the school. He went to his room and fell asleep.
