Some Day

Some day I will be able to tell you how much I look up to you. About the time you fought with your best friend, and still managed to put a smile on your face even though your heart had torn in two.

Some day I will be able to tell you how your presence brightens a room. About how your charm and authenticity can soothe a person's soul and leave him feeling better about himself.

Some day I will be able to tell you how much I hurt when I see you cry. About all those times you carried someone else's burden even while your own were so overwhelming.

Some day I will be able to tell you how much I miss you. How much I miss those midnight hugs and the way my heart smiled when you asked for them.

Some day I will be able to tell you that you are not alone. That you don't have to be afraid to trust, that sometimes showing your vulnerability is a sign of strength.

Some day I will be able to tell you how much I need you. How badly I need your approval on the person I've become.

Some day I will be able to tell you... how much I love you.

And when that some day comes, I hope you will be able to listen.
